JNF-USA Supports Jewish Future Pledge, Securing Israel’s Future
New York, NY., July 9, 2021 — For millennia, the Jewish People’s flame has burned brightly, fueled by traditions and practices passed down from generation to generation, reliant on an unbroken chain of continuity. Each generation has carried a sacred responsibility of securing the future of the Jewish people and our connection to the land of Israel for their children, grandchildren, and generations yet unborn. In this spirit, Jewish National Fund-USA (JNF-USA) proudly supports the Jewish Future Pledge.
The Jewish Future Pledge is a worldwide movement that encourages all Jews to commit 50% or more of the charitable giving they intend to leave in their will, whether that be $10 or $10 million, to Jewish causes.
JNF-USA CEO Russell F. Robinson said: “Now more than ever, we need to come together and support each other, and few things unite our community like philanthropy. The Jewish Future Pledge is every Jewish person’s way of saying that Israel and the Jewish people will continue to live on from generation to generation.”
JNF-USA’s fastest growing donor demographic is driven by 22–40-year-old supporters through JNFuture, yet multiple communal surveys suggest that a rising percentage of young people are disconnecting from their Jewish identity and Israel. At this important moment, the Jewish Future Pledge together with JNF-USA will spark critical intergenerational conversations while creating an even brighter future for the land and people of Israel and Jewish people everywhere.
