New York, NY., June 24, 2021 — One-hundred-and-twenty-three high school students (and counting) from across the country have already registered for Jewish National Fund-USA’s (JNF-USA) Dream Israel Teen Travel Initiative as they pursue their dreams to study abroad in Israel.
Supported by JNF-USA’s Boruchin Center, Dream Israel makes it possible for all Jewish students, regardless of religious background or school affiliation, to receive up to $7,500 tuition support toward a study abroad program with select providers including Ramah TRY, Heller High, and Alexander Muss High School in Israel. Students fundraise for causes that support the land and people of Israel, including Israel’s Fire & Rescue Services, JNF-USA’s Project Baseball, and initiatives that support people with disabilities.
The teen fundraisers have already raised a combined $180,000 from 771 donors in support of the land and people of Israel.
Students learn 4,000 years of Jewish history at JNF-USA’s High School in Israel
JNF-USA Boruchin Center Chairman Mike Lederman said: “We are extremely gratified that this revolutionary program is connecting with both students and donors. Dream Israel’s success shows that there is significant interest from high school students wanting to attend study abroad programs in Israel, as well as many partners (donors) willing to support the students’ ambitions. We hope these students get a lot out of their fundraising experience, and we look forward to seeing as many students as possible in Israel.”
