Tampa Bay, Fl., March 17, 2021 — Jewish National Fund-USA’s (JNF-USA) leadership in Tampa are excited to welcome Marc Silver as the new JNF-USA Tampa Director. A University of Tampa graduate who has been fundraising for over 10 years, Marc is a welcome addition to the JNF-USA family.
Marc brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously fundraised for Be the Match (the National Bone Marrow Registry) and the Dunedin Fine Arts Center. In addition, Marc has a history of involvement with JNF-USA going back to his childhood.
“I have been a supporter of JNF-USA most of my life, from buying trees and collecting change in the iconic Blue Box to serving on JNF-USA’s Tampa Board of Directors,” said Silver. “I passionately believe in JNF-USA’s mission and am happy to be a part of all we do for the land and people of Israel.”
As someone who grew up in the local community, Marc has a keen understanding of why JNF-USA resonates with so many people in the Tampa area.
“There are so many visions and different projects that JNF-USA is working on in Israel that every person can have a different connection to,” said Silver. “Whether you support our High School in Israel programs, the many things we do to support individuals with disabilities, our water initiatives, or any of our other projects, I am happy to talk about how our partners’ (donors) gifts can support our philanthropic investments in Israel.”
As director, Marc hopes to inspire the Tampa community while establishing connections with supporters in the area. “I hope to get the opportunity to meet with everyone who supports Israel and JNF-USA.” Silver stressed that he wants to be accessible to the entire community, saying, “if you, your friends and family, or your synagogue/temple would like to learn about our incredible work supporting Israel’s Negev and Galilee, please do be in touch.”
