New York, NY., November 20, 2021 — A new Hollywood rivalry has emerged! Move over Kanye West v Taylor Swift and Cardi B v Nicki Minaj. Enter YouTube phenomenon and Jewish National Fund-USA (JNF-USA) Sababa Society Fellow, Xander Simmons v Curb Your Enthusiasm creator and star, Larry David.
Following the release of last week’s Curb episode on HBO featuring JNF-USA’s iconic Blue Box, Xander saw the difficulty Larry had in placing a donation in the box and decided to do something about it. Putting his Sababa Society Fellowship training to work, Xander created a tutorial on his Instagram to show the Seinfeld creator how it’s done.
Although the iconic Blue Box has been a mainstay of the organization for 120 years, the 15-year-old was quick to point out that JNF-USA also accepts tax-deductible donations via Venmo (@JewishNationalFund) and at jnf.org/donate.
JNF-USA CEO, Russell F. Robinson, expressed his delight at seeing the philanthropic organization featured on Curb. “Our movement has always been a part of popular culture and it was great to see a comedic genius like Larry David feature us on his highly successful show. However, the real star here is Xander who had a bit of fun with our cameo while also reminding us of a more important message – the act of giving charitably.”
