Working with the government of Israel, local municipalities and the strategic partnerships that have been cemented over the years, a comprehensive plan was developed to ensure that both the immediate and long-term needs are being anticipated and met. Work to date includes supporting evacuees, offering trauma therapy and respite activities, helping to provide firefighting and protective equipment, giving agricultural assistance, assisting the elderly and infirm and providing life-saving trauma facilities. Send a gift to an evacuated child. Since October 7, many Israeli children have been forced to flee their homes, schools and communities. They have faced disruptions to their lives and are experiencing anxiety and trauma. Cami is Missing is a book that’s been written for these children. It tells the tale of a little camel who navigates the challenges of being away from home, and helps children and families heal through storytelling. Suitable for children ages 5-8, the book is $26. Send a book here.
Buy products on JNF-USA’s Mitzvah Marketplace and support local artists and entrepreneurs in Israel who have been facing serious challenges to their businesses right now. Do some shopping for Passover! Place your orders by March 18. Products include beauty and health items, jewelry, home décor, candles and candlesticks, soaps, mezuzahs, cookbooks and other books, tea and coffee, wine, chocolate and more. Find the “Ability Boutique” (within the Marketplace) from JNF-USA affiliate ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran and shop for silk afikomen bags, scarves, challah covers and table runners.
