LOCAL PROGRAMS IN SCHOOLS

StepUpForIsrael_345x195
As part of our commitment to educating the next generation of Jewish leaders, Jewish National Fund works with high schools in local communities across the country and provides resources to help teach youth about Israel and Israeli achievements. These programs range from teaching teens about the innovative ways that Israel has solved its water shortage problem and how JNF helps to protect the environment through water innovation, agricultural research, and more, to interactive programs that celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) and teach about the Bedouins, an Arab minority group in Israel.

One of the newest initiatives for high school students is the Jerusalem U Media Lab, a partnership with Jerusalem University that challenges assumptions and expands horizons. This film-based, turn-key high school curriculum introduces the fundamental issues concerning the State of Israel, exploring its unique challenges, accomplishments, and values. The course inspires students to form a relationship with Israel, her people, and their heritage.

ALEXANDER MUSS HIGH SCHOOL IN ISRAEL - A STUDY ABROAD ACADEMIC ADVENTURE

Muss_JNF_345_195
Jewish National Fund is proud to have joined forces with Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI-JNF), the only pluralist Jewish high school study-abroad program in Israel.

Studying abroad isn't just for college students anymore. Since 1972 AMHSI has provided a unique study abroad program for high school students where the land of Israel becomes a living classroom. Time spent abroad during high school is the perfect way to enhance your resume and help stand out when applying to top colleges.

All AMHSI-JNF sessions include our Israel Studies curriculum of over 4,000 years of Jewish and Israeli history. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to receive up to six university credits from University of Miami's Center for Contemporary and Judaic Studies. AMHSI-JNF is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Students coordinate with guidance counselors to bring their home curriculum and can receive general studies instruction at all levels, including regular, honors, and AP classes.

Students from North America and around the world come together on our campus in Hod HaSharon, just twenty minutes from Tel Aviv, for an immersive Israel experience. Through informal encounters with Israelis, students are exposed to Hebrew language and local culture. Additionally, students enjoy independence while gaining life skills and forming friendships and memories that last a lifetime.
