Rabbi Ed Rosenthal

As Jews, we have a sacred obligation to protect our environment and the ocean. At least that is the perspective of Rabbi Ed Rosenthal, Founder and CEO of Tikkun Hayam (Repair the Sea), who has dedicated his career to raising awareness of environmental issues facing our water and building bridges in an effort to fix them. Host Steven Shalowitz sits down with Rosenthal to discuss the Jewish perspective on water, the issues facing our oceans, and Israel’s water successes and challenges.

Rabbi Ed Rosenthal is the Founder and CEO of Repair the Sea (Tikkun HaYam), which raises awareness and encourages action to address the many threats facing the aquatic environment, using a Jewish perspective to share its importance. Rabbi Rosenthal previously served as the Executive Director of the Hillels of the Florida Suncoast, working with students on three campuses: The University of South Florida, University of Tampa, and Eckerd College, and has worked for Hillel at Cornell University and Emory. He is a recipient of Hillel International’s Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence and the AIPAC Ally of the Year award.
