The effectiveness of our civil defense efforts was instrumental in safeguarding lives during and after the harrowing attacks of October 7th.
Jewish National Fund–USA has strategically invested in civil defense for over a decade, emphasizing security, fire, and rescue. A swift and effective response executed by well-equipped and well-trained volunteers remains pivotal to our Homeland's security.
Looking ahead our commitment remains firm in backing these initiatives, fostering strong ties with essential local and national bodies such as the Israel Fire Authority and local municipalities and councils. Furthermore, we aim to extend the Emergency Response Center model to more regions, fostering collaborative partnerships between security, fire, and emergency services, following our successful implementations in the Central Arava, Ramat HaNegev, and Southern Eshkol Regional Councils. These models will be adapted to the specific needs of each authority, incorporating training and cross-collaboration, ensuring a comprehensive community response to a diverse range of situations.
In short – a one-stop shop for all volunteer emergency services in the community and surrounding communities.
