In times of crisis, flying to Israel becomes more than a trip, it’s a statement of solidarity, unity, and shared destiny. As Israel’s national carrier, EL AL has remained steady in providing flights to and from Israel throughout the conflict. Its work extends beyond the runway to support for soldiers, families, and communities in good times and through adversity. Since October 7, EL AL has not only maintained its flight operations without interruption but has also continuously expanded its schedule.

Following October 7, EL AL operated special flights to bring reservists home quickly. Millions of passengers have flown with the company since October 7th. Additionally, EL AL continues to support soldiers and their families, by providing transportation assistance, care packages, and discounted services.

Being the national airline means supporting all Israelis, and that’s why EL AL’s support includes assistance for civilians impacted by war, particularly in Israel’s southern regions and among families of hostages. From singers and comedians visiting evacuated Israelis, to falafel trucks for soldiers and emergency forces, EL AL takes its responsibility to the Israeli nation to heart. For families of hostages, it continues to provide resources to help advocate for their release around the world, a taxing mission that requires extensive and difficult travel. Simon Newton-Smith, EL AL’s Senior Vice President for the Americas added: “I could not be prouder to be playing a small part in a very important time for Israel. This airline is not just a means of transport, it’s a symbol of resilience, unity, and hope.”

Moving more than people, EL AL’s impact extended to cargo operations, transporting vital supplies. Partnering with charities, it ensured aid reaches those in need quickly, leveraging its global network. More than 13,000 tons of essential cargo, including medical supplies and defense equipment have crossed the skies in EL AL planes. Beyond these essentials, donations to keep soldiers warm and safe, from hand-knit scarves to fleece sweaters to tactical helmets and tzitzit have made their way to Israel on EL AL flights.

Amid the uncertainty of the current conflict, EL AL offers flexible travel policies, allowing customers to adjust plans. EL AL Protect, its travel insurance, provides additional coverage and peace of mind, making it easier to support Israel by flying with the national airline. “This has been an unpredictable year, as we bring folks eager to support the land and people of Israel over to do their part, having a reliable airline has made all the difference,” said Deena Shiff, head of Jewish National Fund-USA’s Travel & Tours.

Flying to Israel is one of the most impactful ways to support the country right now. Whether visiting loved ones, exploring the land, or volunteering with Jewish National Fund-USA, choosing EL AL helps sustain a vital lifeline for Israel. EL AL has been and will remain the airline that keeps flying to Israel, guaranteeing travel to and from the country.
