President's Message
Resilience is not simply the ability to endure—it is the capacity to rise, to rebuild, and to do so with purpose. It is a quality etched into the soul of the Jewish people across millennia, one that Jewish National Fund-USA has been proud to cultivate for over a century.
When we plant a tree in Israel’s soil, we are doing something far greater than greening a hillside. We are making a declaration: We believe in this land, we believe in the people, and we believe in tomorrow. Every community built in the North and South, every medical center, playground, athletic center, and water reservoir—these are more than just infrastructure projects. They are acts of faith. They are proof that when we stand behind Israel, Israel stands stronger.
And Israel, in turn, stands behind us. In Israel’s innovation, we find inspiration. In its perseverance, we find courage. In its unwavering commitment to hope and renewal, we are reminded of what is possible when a nation’s people refuse to give up on their future.
There is a profound exchange that takes place when you visit a Jewish National Fund-USA-supported community and witness families living, working, and thriving in places that were once barren. You see children playing and laughing, and you leave changed. You return home with something you cannot fully name—a renewed sense of what is possible, a reminder that difficulty is not a destination, and that, with courage, we can transform any landscape, literal or otherwise.
We give Israel strength. Israel gives us strength. This is not a transaction; it is a covenant. And we take comfort in the knowledge that we are not alone, that we are bound to one another across oceans and generations, and that together, we are unbreakable.
