Jewish National Fund-USA, in conjunction with affiliate HaShomer HaChadash, maintains a network of boarding schools for high school students across the North and South of Israel, working under the believe that an education system that connects the next generation to the land is imperative.

Adam V’Adama, 4-year agricultural boarding schools, were established to educate the younger generation on values of love of the land of Israel and aspires to build Israel’s next leaders, while providing much needed assistance to Israeli farmers located in nationally strategic locations throughout Israel.

Since October 7, up to 90% of farms in the Western Negev have suffered significant damage, threatening Israel’s agricultural livelihood. In response, Jewish National Fund-USA has been working tirelessly to support local farmers and helping to open a new Adam v’Adama school in Moshav Sde Nitzan, Eshkol. This will rebuild and strengthen the area and create a strong, responsible local workforce. The school offers students a unique opportunity to combine hands-on agricultural education with full academic studies, attracting youth from diverse backgrounds across Israel.

Each morning before sunrise, the Adam V’Adama students set off to work in agriculture in the local greenhouses, fields and orchards, assisting farmers with vital agricultural support in areas that suffer from a lack of agriculture manpower. The agriculture work educates the students on values of responsibility, professionalism and resilience, while nurturing a generation of young leaders connected to our nation’s roots and land
