Longtime philanthropist and Jewish National Fund-USA donor Meril Salzburg has been named president of Jewish National Fund-USA’s Sarasota Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 campaign year, helping to bring Jewish National Fund-USA’s mission to build a strong, vibrant future for the land and people of Israel through bold initiatives and Zionist engagement to life throughout western and northern Florida.
Salzburg has been supporting Jewish National Fund-USA for over a decade and currently serves as a member of the organization’s Go Northeast Task Force. She also previously served as a member of Jewish National Fund-USA’s Women for Israel National Executive Board and as president of its Orlando Board of Directors.
“Jewish National Fund-USA is not just any organization,” said Salzburg. “It does more for the heart and soul than what one would think any organization could possibly do. When you know where your funds are going and how they are being used, it’s a fact that warms one's heart with the knowledge that we are making a difference. We were there yesterday, we are here today, and we will be there tomorrow. Am Yisrael Chai!"
For 125 years, Jewish National Fund-USA has been building new communities and creating the most livable towns and cities in Israel’s North and South, while spearheading learning, travel, and leadership initiatives so that youth, families, and adults stay connected to the land and people of Israel for life.
