About the Ma’alot Grant Program

Jewish National Fund and Nefesh B’Nefesh are excited to continue the Ma’alot Grant Program to help synagogues with Israel programming.  It is our hope that this program will strengthen the connections between synagogues, Jewish National Fund and Nefesh B’ Nefesh, while assisting individuals in your community to connect with resources that can strengthen their relationship with Israel.

Funding

Micro-grants in the amount of $750-$1250 will be available to synagogues (U.S. synagogues only).  Programming can be geared to any population in your congregation.

Timing

We are now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 Ma'alot synagogue grant year for programs that will take place from July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023. Applications will be reviewed once a month by a committee and the decision will be conveyed via email. We have a limited pool of money to distribute and once that money has been awarded we will no longer accept new applications.

Grant Requirements

  • All publicity and materials should bear the Jewish National Fund and Nefesh B’Nefesh logos.
  • Regular communication with your Jewish National Fund Education team member and Nefesh B’Nefesh professionals is required.
  • During your program, you must display Jewish National Fund and Nefesh B’Nefesh materials.
  • Upon completion of your program or activities, a summary report must be submitted (details will be provided in the grant award letter).
