Ofir Akunis is the Consul General of Israel in New York and a veteran Israeli statesman. He served as Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology (2015–2020, 2022–2024), signing 30 global cooperation agreements and championing tech access for underserved communities. As Minister of Regional Cooperation, he played a key role in advancing the Abraham Accords and fostering Arab-Jewish municipal partnerships. Akunis has also held senior roles in labor, media, and social welfare, and founded the Knesset’s Abraham Accords Caucus.
