EILOT REGION Stands with Israel: Israel Resilience Campaign Activity

 

  • Eilot absorbed 3,600 new residents, including 1,200 people from Sderot – growing their population from 5,500 to 9,100 overnight
  • The remote location makes it both safe and difficult -- it is a challenge to source housing, food, and necessities for
  • More than 190 local volunteers are providing round the clock security and have built fortifications for the 12 communities (10 kibbutzim and 2 towns) in the region
  • Providing 24/7 psychological care with 14 dedicated psychologists. They ensure that if someone calls and speaks to a therapist, they are always matched with that therapist again to offer continuity of care.
  • Building new schools to educate the children
  • It’s not enough to provide shelter and food, you need to look after the soul as well. To that end, Eilot has organized: Concerts in Timna park; Open yoga and meditation sessions; Family time on open lawns; A community dining room in the town of Be’er Ora; A regional logistics center
