About the Ma’alot Grant Program

Jewish National Fund-USA and Nefesh B’Nefesh are excited to offer Ma’alot Grants for Israel-related synagogue programming to strengthen the connection between your synagogue community, our organizations, and our beloved Israel.

Funding

Grants up to $2,500 will be available to US synagogues of any stream or denomination. Programming can be geared to any population in your congregation and must be Israel-centric.

Timing

We are now accepting applications for the 2025 Ma'alot grant year for programs that will take place from January 1, 2025 until December 31, 2025. Applications will be reviewed once a month by a committee and the decision will be conveyed via email. We have a limited pool of money to distribute and once that money has been awarded we will no longer accept new applications.

Grant Requirements

  • All publicity and materials should bear the Jewish National Fund-USA and Nefesh B’Nefesh logos.
  • Programs must be Israel-centric, not simply Jewish-themed.
  • Regular communication with your Jewish National Fund-USA Education team member and Nefesh B’Nefesh professionals is required.
  • During your program, you must display Jewish National Fund-USA and Nefesh B’Nefesh materials.
  • Upon completion of your program or activities, a summary report must be submitted (details will be provided in the grant award letter).

Applications

Applications for the 2025 grant cycle are currently being accepted.
