Adopt-A-Firefighter

Jewish National Fund’s Adopt-A-Firefighter materials are provided to engage, educate and energize your students towards a closer connection to Israel through learning about and supporting Israeli Firefighters and Fire Scouts. Lessons have been created for Pre-K through Grade 2, Grades 3 through 5, and B’nai Mitzvah & Above, highlighting Jewish values about community and respect for life.

Students will focus on the following Jewish values

Homeland

2.

Kol Yisrael arevim zeh bazeh: All Jews are responsible for one another

3.

Pikuach Nefesh: The preservation of life is of highest importance

4.

Lo Ta’amod: Do not stand idly by when someone’s life is in danger

5.

Tzedakah: Righteousness, helping those in need

Support for the Firefighters

1.

$5,000 provides suits of protective gear for three firefighters.

2.

$1,800 provides a complete suit of protective gear for one firefighter and school receives a plaque from Jewish National Fund and Friends of Israel Firefighters

3.

$500 will help supply firefighters with the equipment they need, and school receives a personal letter of thanks from a firefighter in Israel

4.

$180 will help supply firefighters with the equipment they need, and school receives a certificate of thanks from Jewish National Fund and Friends of Israel Firefighters
