  • A Living Classroom of Courage

    Ammunition Hill welcomes 300,000 visitors annually, including 90,000 IDF soldiers and 100,000 students and youth-group participants. The battlefield and museum connect visitors with the experiences of those who fought for Jerusalem and the enduring bond between the Jewish people and the city. On June 6, 1967, 110 Israeli paratroopers stormed the hill; 36 lost their lives and 90 were wounded, opening the path toward Jerusalem’s reunification.

  • Making History Personal

    Plans for a multimedia auditorium seating more than 150 guests and interactive Decision Junctions will bring visitors closer to the choices and leadership that shaped history. The Harel Brigade Lookout offers perspective from the battlefield’s highest point, while the Wall of Honor recognizes service and sacrifice. Adopt a Jerusalem Liberator connects students with veterans of the three brigades that liberated Jerusalem, preserving their stories through films, essays, ceremonies, and tributes in Ammunition Hill’s archives.
