KASSER JOINT INSTITUTE
For Food, Water, and Energy Security
Jewish National Fund-USA, the University of Arizona, and Israel’s Arava Regional Councils have formed the Kasser Joint Institute for Food, Water and Energy Security with the mission of introducing innovative technology that builds capacity for food, water, and energy security in vulnerable communities in arid and hyper-arid environments — with a focus on Africa.

AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SITE MATERIALS (seedlings, fertilizers, irrigation costs, pesticides, fish feed, testing kits, minerals) $2,500
OFF-SITE IMPLEMENTATION FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS IN KENYA: supporting a member of the Kasser Joint Institute delegations to Kenya to work on the ground on the implementation: $3,600
EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS FOR RESEARCH: monitors, sensors, irrigation equipment, construction needs, solar panels, electronic components: $5,000
ANNUAL SUPPORT FOR AN AICAT STUDENT AT ARAVA RESEARCH SITES includes a stipend as a research assistant, accommodation, travel fees for 10 months: $10,000
