The new Gymboree room doubles as a bomb shelter to make therapy accessible, fun, and safe
In a heartfelt demonstration of love and support for Israel and individuals with disabilities, Irwin and Iliana Levin have dedicated a gymboree at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, the Jewish National Fund-USA -supported therapeutic village that offers residential and outpatient care for children with severe disabilities. The gymboree also serves as a bomb shelter, offering a haven of safety, resilience, and joy for Israel’s most vulnerable citizens.

“There are some special places in this world, and this theraputic village is at the top of the list," said Iliana Levin. "We care deeply about the future of Israel and about making sure that everyone, especially those with disabilities, has the chance to live a life of dignity and purpose. This village is doing incredible work to make that vision a reality, and dedicating a room at the Children’s Center felt like a meaningful way for us to support something we truly believe in and help create a space where the most extraordinary and beautiful children can feel safe, supported, and seen.”
The Levins first encountered the Jewish National Fund-USA supported village during a Volunteer Mission with the organization in March 2024. Moved by the profound sense of community and impact, they quickly sought ways to deepen their involvement and make a lasting difference.

Elie Klein, North American Director of Advancement of ADI Negev Nahalat Eran and Liaison to Jewish National Fund-USA said, “It’s been a joy sharing stories of the ‘ADI Magic’ with them on a regular basis and watching them fall deeply in love with our ADI family. It has also been an honor assisting them in making their mark at ADI Negev’s Children’s Center, an integrated kindergarten where the beauty of true inclusion is on display every day. We are so grateful to the Levins for dedicating a gymboree, a room that doubles as a bomb shelter, so that we can feel their warm embrace during happy times and in our most difficult moments.”
The Levins' gift exemplifies the spirit of Jewish National Fund-USA’s mission to build a more inclusive and vibrant future for Israel. By supporting this village for people with disabilities and similar initiatives, they help foster a society where every individual is celebrated and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
