Yom Ha'atzmaut celebrates Israel's Independence. This year, the holiday begins the evening of April 14th, and will commemorate Israel's 73rd year as the Jewish State. Join Jewish National Fund-USA and special guest speaker Zohar Vloski, KKL-JNF Israel Emissary, as we learn about the importance of this holiday and how you can teach the history of Israel's independence to your students. JNF-USA has many Yom Ha'atzmaut resources, as well as other educational materials, that you can share with your classes throughout the year. Zoom information will be provided upon registration.

 

Participants will open their own E-Z Tree™ Account including two trees to plant in Israel and will receive two hours of Professional Development.

Zohar Vloski

Israel Emissary, KKL-JNF

 

Zohar Vloski, IDF Lieutenant Colonel (in reserve), is an Education focused Israel Emissary for KKL-JNF in Florida & the USA, and was the KKL-JNF Executive Director Education Division. Zohar served in the IDF for 25 years, including as a commander of education units, a key driver of the military’s educational systems, and a leader in connecting the Birthright Israel program to Israeli soldiers. As an educational entrepreneur over the course of three decades, he has implemented training programs in Jewish and Zionist identity, Holocaust memorialization, and Jewish leadership and culture. He has a LL.M (Master of Laws) and is a certified tour guide for Israel’s Ministry of Tourism in Israel and for Yad Vashem to Poland.
