Join us for a fireside chat with real estate developer and philanthropist Russell Galbut, Managing Principal of Crescent Heights, to hear from one of America’s largest and most respected residential developers. The program will also include an update from Avnet Kleiner, Director of Development for ADI Negev (formerly ALEH Negev), Israel’s most comprehensive provider of residential care for individuals with severe disabilities, the leader of the national rehabilitation movement, and an international advocate for disability inclusion, equity, and access.

Russell Galbut
Managing Principal, Crescent Heights
Russell Galbut currently serves as the Managing Principal of
Crescent Heights, one of America’s largest and most respected residential
developers of quality residential apartments and condominiums. Crescent Heights
has been active in over 15 markets from coast-to-coast and has developed over
50,000 residential units, including pioneering the condo hotel
concept. Mr. Galbut also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors
for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd – an S&P 500 listed company. In
addition, Russell currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Cornell
University School of Hotel Administration and the prestigious Simon Wiesenthal
organization.

Avnet Kleiner
Director of Development for ADI Negev (formerly ALEH Negev)
Avnet has experience in the non-profit world, having founded two non-profits: ALFA, to advance the rights of Israeli Holocaust survivors; and WhatIsrael, a hasbarah organization that recruits, trains and sends students to university campuses worldwide to promote constructive conversations about Israel. He is now contributing his skills and experience to the development of ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran (formerly ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran), a pioneering rehabilitation village in Israel’s Negev that provides severely disabled children and adults a comprehensive framework for life. Avnet works closely with Chairman of ADI Negev, IDF Major General (Res.) Doron Almog, and spreads Almog’s message of the opportunity the village presents for Tikkun Olam, creating a better society for the disabled and for ourselves.Avnet and his wife Adva alternate between living in the USA and Israel during the year.
