Avnet has experience in the non‑profit world, having founded two non‑profits; ALFA, to advance the rights of Israeli Holocaust survivors; and, WHATISRAEL, an organization that recruits, trains, and sends students to university campuses worldwide to promote constructive conversations about Israel. He is now contributing to the development of Aleh Negev‑Nahalat Eran, a pioneering rehabilitative village in Israel’s Negev that provides severely disabled children and adults a comprehensive framework for life.
