Educators Resources
for Yom Yerushalayim

Yom Yerushalayim

Yom Yerushalayim, Jerusalem Day, is an Israeli national holiday commemorating the reunification of Jerusalem after the Six-Day War. This year, the holiday begins the evening of May 9th, and will celebrate the 54th year of the city's liberation.

Jewish National Fund-USA provides resources that can be used year-round to enhance your effectiveness as an educator. These materials include classroom activities, guides, and videos created by JNF-USA affiliates in Israel who are working to help those with special needs and disabilities.

One of those affiliates is Ammunition Hill National Heritage Center, a facility supported by JNF-USA and the site that led to the reunification of Jerusalem in the Six‑Day War. Learn about the site's important history from its head of marketing and operations, Alon Wald, and from Olam Shalem, an educational platform for teachers who work with Jewish communities around the world to strengthen the connection between their students and Jerusalem.
