This winter, Alexander Muss High School in Israel (Muss) is launching its inaugural 12th Grade Winter Trip, a two-week immersive experience taking place December 23, 2025 – January 6, 2026, offering high school seniors a chance to make their final winter break unforgettable and stay connected to the land and people of Israel for life.
The Muss winter program at Jewish National Fund-USA’s premier college-prep, study abroad in Israel experience for American teens, offers students a rich itinerary featuring hands-on volunteer service, exciting tiyulim (trips), and engagement with Israeli peers. Participants will earn 10 community service hours toward their high school credit while gaining firsthand insight into the Israeli people’s inspiring journey of resilience and rebuilding.
“Muss helped me find my home, and it can help you find yours too,” said Gabrielle Bogan, a senior at Denver School and recent Muss alumna. “It helped me step out of my comfort zone, make lifelong friends, and learn more than I ever imagined. I would 100% recommend it.”
Additional highlights include activities such as biking along the Yarkon River, hiking in the desert, exploring vibrant markets, and connecting with local communities impacted by recent events—all under the guidance of Muss’ expert educators and powered by Jewish National Fund-USA, the most trusted name in Zionist education and engagement.
“The Muss experience is transformative—plain and simple,” said Cindy Noam, Jewish National Fund-USA’s newly appointed Mountain States Muss Chair. “This new winter program offers an incredible opportunity for high school seniors to experience the spirit, challenges, and triumphs of Israel up close. Zionism starts young—and lasts forever.
The Muss Winter Trip is a proud RootOne-affiliated trip. RootOne helps expand access to and enhance the Israel experiences of thousands of Jewish teens each year. Participants on affiliated programs are eligible to receive vouchers of up to $2,000 to help offset program costs and complete engaging educational coursework prior to travel. RootOne is seeded through a generous grant by The Marcus Foundation and powered by The Jewish Education Project. Visit RootOne.org for more information. Other forms of financial aid are also available.
