No Other Philanthropy Does More for the Land and People of Israel

NEW YORK: August 14, 2025 – When Americans choose to support the land and people of Israel, they turn to Jewish National Fund-USA — the leading philanthropic movement building the Jewish homeland. Powered by a visionary strategy, the organization’s “circles of impact” create ripples of change that strengthen Israel’s North and South and inspire Zionists everywhere.

“Trust, impact, transparency, and values-driven. These words have become the centerpiece of philanthropy today and are increasingly important in considering where and how to give,” explained Jewish National Fund-USA President, Deb Lust Zaluda. “Our organization is the embodiment of all of these principles.”

Responding to Crises

No matter the situation, Jewish National Fund-USA never has to scramble to respond to crises because it is already on the ground, working with the communities it has supported for decades.

When the Carmel Fires devastated 12,000 acres of northern Israel and killed dozens in 2010, many lamented that firefighters didn’t have the necessary equipment to respond.

Today, Jewish National Fund-USA is the official fundraising arm of Israel’s Fire & Rescue Authority in the U.S. Accordingly, Israel’s firefighters can now respond in up to half the time in Israel’s South. Most recently, in May, firefighters could quickly extinguish wildfires that broke out nationwide thanks to Jewish National Fund-USA’s philanthropic investments.

Population Growth in Israel’s North and South

Through the organization’s circles of impact, every project, program, and initiative is chosen because it supports population growth. From new sports complexes, innovation hubs, and R&D facilities to culinary institutes, start-up centers, and small business initiatives, the organization’s vision of attracting 800,000 new residents to these frontier regions gains momentum daily.

Engaging Zionists Everywhere

Jewish National Fund-USA inspires all generations to explore their ancient connection to the land and people of Israel. The organization’s Alexander Muss High School in Israel continues to offer life-changing study abroad experiences for American high school students across two amenity-rich campuses. Meanwhile, the organization’s Travel & Tours Department enables supporters to “remember the family” through its Coming Home Mission to Israel, September 4-11, 2025. In addition, its Sunshine Tour for active adults (55+) will be held in Israel from November 2-6, 2025.

World Zionist Village

The organization is also creating one of the largest philanthropic projects in Israel through its $350 million 16-acre World Zionist Village. The visionary initiative will serve as a global hub for Zionist education, intergenerational dialogue and cultural exchange while strengthening Diaspora-Israel relations. It will also provide a major economic boost to the city of Be’er Sheva and Israel’s South.

“This village will transform how people perceive Be’er Sheva, the capital of the Negev,” said the city’s mayor, Ruvik Danilovich. “The village carries a vital mission: to attract young people from across the globe to this historic city. How fitting that it will rise in Be’er Sheva, the city of our forefather Abraham, where our shared destiny began.”

Leaving a Legacy

Jewish National Fund has also become the go-to philanthropy for those wishing to leave a legacy for the land and people of Israel. Whether through a bequest or by establishing a Donor Advised Fund, Charitable Gift Annuity, or other means, the organization offers many ways for partners (donors) to contribute to the ongoing prosperity of the Jewish homeland through Planned Giving.
