Melanie Schnoll Begun serves as Managing Director and Head of Wealth Management’s Philanthropy Management at Morgan Stanley. She works with the firm’s most influential clients to focus, support, and scale their philanthropic endeavors. In addition to spearheading Philanthropic Consulting Services, Melanie launched and oversees the Morgan Stanley Global Impact Funding Trust (GIFT) and Foundation Management Services, a platform for family and corporate foundations.

 

Melanie is also the Nominating Chair and a former board president of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation New York City chapter, President of Morgan Stanley GIFT, and Co-Chair of Inwood Charities, among other roles.

Meital Stavinsky, a Miami and Washington DC attorney, is a member of Holland & Knight’s Public Policy & Regulation Group and Co-Chair of the firm's Israel Practice. She focuses her practice on business and government relations, with a particular emphasis on Israeli emerging and advanced technologies companies. Stavinsky assists Israeli companies seeking to enter the U.S. market and expand their operations in the United States.

 

Stavinsky has worked on a wide range of U.S. congressional and federal legislative matters and has experience with various federal agencies, including the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Energy, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Maxeme Tuchman is an Alexander Muss High School in Israel Alum and CEO/Co-Founder of Caribu, an interactive video-calling platform that allows parents and grandparents to read and draw with children digitally. She was named as one of Inc. Magazine’s top 100 Female Founders for 2019.

 

Before Caribu, Max was a public-school teacher, a consultant at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Executive Director of Teach for America, and manager of education projects under NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and DC Public Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee. She was also a White House Fellow under President Barack Obama at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

As Director of the Pre-Aliyah Department, she has overseen the Aliyah of 25,000 individuals and managed $45 million in grants. As Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Development, she developed signature Nefesh B’ Nefesh initiatives including the Lone Soldier Program, Frontier Physicians and Go South and Go North initiatives all of which address Israel’s core national needs. Doreet is a seasoned speaker who inspires countless individuals to support the greatest Jewish project of our times— the return of a people to its historic homeland.

As CEO of Western Galilee Now (WGN), Michal Shiloah Galnoor is responsible for the rich and productive partnership between WGN and Jewish National Fund. Overseeing a consortium of small tourism operators and artisanal businesses, Michal promotes awareness and appreciation for the Western Galilee region’s boutique wines, beers, food, and produce, as well as the area’s cultural diversity, historic traditions, and scenic routes. Prior to her work with WGN, Michal was a successful entrepreneur. She ran her own thriving public relations and marketing business, was spokesperson for Motorola in Israel, and owned and operated a flourishing fashion boutique in Ramat Hasharon.

Tamar Gil Menachem

Eretz Ir / Lauder Employment Centers

 

As Deputy Director for Eretz Ir, Tamar Gil promotes community resilience in Israel’s Galilee region and Negev Desert by encouraging civic activism and the creation of businesses that have a social impact. Gil leads the partnership between Eretz Ir and Jewish National Fund-USA’s Lauder Employment Center, which provides comprehensive career services, guidance, and resources to college alumni and the general Negev population. The Center serves over 300 employers and creates meaningful networks to assist in reducing the tech sector’s reliance on the overcrowded and overpriced Tel Aviv metropolitan area. Following the success of the Negev's Lauder Employment Center, Gil is leading the replication of the model in Israel’s north. Gil previously completed an extended service in the Israeli Air Force as commander of air-picture operators.
