Mark Spitz
Olympic Swimming Gold Medalist
Mark Spitz is an American former competitive swimmer and nine time Olympic champion who won seven gold medals at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Over his career, he has won a total of 11 Olympic medals: Nine gold, one silver, and one bronze. Spitz was also named World Swimmer of the Year in 1969, 1971, and 1972.
