Hal Linden is an American actor, singer, and musician whose career has spanned more than 65 years with memorable roles on stage, television, and in film. Linden is best known for his portrayal of police precinct captain Barney Miller in the hit television series, “Barney Miller,” that aired on ABC from 1975 - 1982, earning multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for his work. He became Jewish National Fund’s national spokesman in 1997 after he was inspired by his life-long connection to JNF’s Blue Box.
About The Samuel Project
The film is about a teenager named Eli (Ryan Ochoa) who gets to know his grandfather Samuel (Hal Linden) for the first time when he makes him the subject of an animated art project for school. With dreams of becoming a professional artist, Eli discovers that his Jewish grandfather, a San Diego dry cleaner, was heroically saved from the Nazis by a young woman during WWII.
